The 26-year-old Gutierrez gives Baltimore options at third base moving forward. Maikel Franco is the current man at the hot corner on the Orioles, but do not be surprised to see Gutierrez there at some point.

The Royals had designated Gutierrez for assignment recently, so they did well to get back some cash for his services. Gutierrez failed to impress in KC, despite the team's need for a steady third baseman.

Gutierrez will begin his Orioles career in the minor leagues, but expect him to be recalled at some point during the 2021 campaign. He might be worth a stash in the deepest of keeper leagues.
