In Tice, the Braves acquire a diminutive reliever who put up very good numbers at Triple-A Buffalo last season. He will provide organizational depth and could see action in Atlanta later this season.

The Blue Jays will receive cash in exchange for Tice, who was designated for assignment by the squad earlier in the week. The 24-year-old right-hander was no longer in the team's plans.

There is nothing to see here, as Tice will merely serve a depth role with the Braves.
