The Giants are looking for more infield depth, so Estrada might be able to secure regular time with the big-league squad in San Francisco. He is still only 25 years old, so there is time here.

The Yankees recently designated Estrada for assignment, so it is no surprise that they received cash in return for his services. New York has several options in the infield, so Estrada was not needed.

For now, Estrada can be left on the waiver wire or free agency in virtually all league formats.
