The Yankees are taking a flier here on Odor, still only 27 years of age. He was at one time a very good offensive infielder, so perhaps a change of scenery will help him rediscover past form.

The Rangers designated Odor for assignment after he failed to make the club out of spring training. So, they sent him to the Yankees for two outfield prospects, though they will pay most of Odor's salary.

For now, Odor can remain on the waiver wire or in free agency in most fantasy formats. However, keep an eye on his progress with New York.
