The Angels were looking for some catching depth, which is all Bemboom is at present time. The 29-year-old journeyman could see action in Los Angeles later this season but that is not guaranteed.

The Rays designated Bemboom for assignment recently, after he missed 54 games due to a sprained knee. He was not in their plans for 2019 so they decided to ship him to LA in exchange for some cash.

There is no fantasy value here, as Bemboom will likely remain in the minors for the foreseeable future.
