The Pirates have injury issues on their pitching staff at the moment, so adding Ramirez (a serviceable right-hander capable of both starting and relieving in MLB) makes sense.

The Orioles recently designated Ramirez for assignment, so they did well to at least get back a future asset for his services. He struggled in five appearances with Baltimore this season.

There is no fantasy impact to speak of here, as Ramirez is merely a depth pitcher for Pittsburgh.
