McCreery is a mammoth left-hander (6-9, 250 pounds) and a California native. He profiles mostly as a late-inning reliever, so he has a decent chance at cracking LA's bullpen if he enjoys a solid spring in 2019. This is a good gamble for the Dodgers, who lack depth in terms of lefties out of the bullpen.

The Braves decided recently to designate McCreery for assignment in order to sign veteran third baseman Josh Donaldson. Los Angeles swooped in and offered Atlanta an undisclosed amount of cash for McCreery's services. Apparently, the offer was too good to refuse for the Braves.

Fantasy leaguers should take a wait-and-see approach with McCreery (who has a lot of potential upside due to his size and dominant qualities). He is now on the radar for 2019 (and beyond).
