Anderson is a 25-year-old right-hander who saw action in six MLB games for the Pirates in 2018. He pitched fairly well at Triple-A Indianapolis last season, so he should get an opportunity to win a job pitching out of Oakland's bullpen in 2019.

The Pirates decided that Anderson was not quite good enough to keep on their 40-man roster this winter. Therefore, they moved him on to the Athletics for either a marginal prospect or some cash. Either way, this will not be much of a deal for Pittsburgh.

For now, Anderson holds no fantasy value. However, Oakland reliever have a tendency to become intriguing sleepers as they grow into their roles with the A's. Therefore, keep an eye on Anderson in the early part of '19.
