Down the stretch, Kivlehan will serve a bench role for the Diamondbacks (who are still trying to chase down the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West division).

The Mets are out of contention this year, and felt they no longer had any use for the 28-year-old Kivlehan. So, they did right by him in sending him to a contending team for the final month of the 2018 campaign.

There is no fantasy value here, as Kivlehan is not expected to see enough at-bats to make an impact with his new team.
