Veteran Wilson will serve as a depth catcher for the Cubs down the stretch. He is currently on the 10-day disabled list because of a sprained ankle. Wilson may become the backup catcher.

The player to be named later in this trade is the key to the trade from a Twins perspective here, as Gimenez is merely another depth catcher who will play out the string in Minnesota in '18.

There is nothing to see here, as neither Wilson nor Gimenez have any fantasy value at this point.
