In joining the Angels, McGuire moves to his third MLB organization since the beginning of the month. A first-round draft pick in 2010 by Toronto, McGuire has the tools needed for success but the results in the big leagues have not been there yet.

The Rangers decided to designate McGuire for assignment after only a few days. Texas needed a spot on the 40-man roster due to the return of shortstop Elvis Andrus from the 60-day disabled list. McGuire was the man to go in this case. He will not be missed.

There is no fantasy impact here, as McGuire needs to first establish himself in MLB.
