Farrell was added merely for organizational depth, especially since the Dodgers have been ravaged with injuries to their pitching staff (both with the big club and in the minor leagues). He is expected to remain in the minors.

The Royals had designated Farrell for assignment recently, so at least Kansas City was able to land a bit of cash for his departure. Kansas City added several pitchers recently, so they will not miss Farrell much down the stretch.

Farrell has no fantasy value until/unless he reaches Chavez Ravine and pitches prominently for the Dodgers. That is unlikely at this time.
