The Rays will likely use Featherston all over the infield (he is capable of playing all four infield positions), at least until some of their injured infielders (Rickie Weeks Jr., Brad Miller and Matt Duffy) return from injury.

The Phillies received a little cash in return here for a player that was deemed expendable (mostly because of the organizational depth they have at most infield positions). So, Philadelphia decided to move on from Featherston.

Featherston does not own much fantasy value, and he will not see enough action (or do enough with it) to be considered as a pickup.
