This is a good gamble for Tampa Bay, as Lamb is recuperating from recent surgery to his back and probably won't be available to pitch immediately in 2017. Still, he has some upside as a starter in MLB if he can recover.

The Reds decided to designate Lamb for assignment recently, probably because they needed his spot on the off-season 40-man roster for younger (and healthier) prospects. Still, they did not get much in return for him.

Lamb won't have much fantasy value upon his return to action in 2017, since he is moving from one rebuilding team (Cincinnati) to another (Tampa Bay). Still, do not write him off just yet.
