The Pirates needed some left-handed relief down the stretch, so adding LeBlanc makes sense at this time. The 32-year-old journeyman has pitched reasonably well this season (even as a starter for the Mariners).

The Mariners had outrighted LeBlanc off their 40-man roster recently, so it makes sense for them to ship him out at this time. They probably won't receive much in return, but that was to be expected here.

At this point, LeBlanc is not expected to be used as a starter in Pittsburgh (but is not much of a fantasy option even if he is).
