Carter (shoulder) was cleared to participate in unrestricted shooting drills Monday, Matt George of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.

The Kings announced Thursday that Carter underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Carter is expected to undergo surgery on his left shoulder next week, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The procedure puts Carter's availability for the start of the regular season up in the air.

Carter has been ruled out for Summer League play due to a left shoulder injury, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.
