The Spurs announced Tuesday that Sochan suffered a fracture in the proximal phalanx of his left thumb during Monday's game against the Clippers. Sochan is scheduled to undergo surgery this week and the team will provide updates as appropriate, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Sochan provided 19 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Saturday's 113-103 victory over the Timberwolves.
Sochan supplied 22 points (9-19 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and one block over 34 minutes during Monday's 106-101 loss to Houston.
Sochan totaled 17 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Saturday's 109-106 victory over the Rockets.
Sochan (rest) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's contest versus Dallas.
The Spurs exercised their fourth-year team option on Sochan (rest) on Friday, Ty Jager of FanSided.com reports.
Sochan will sit out Thursday's preseason game against the Rockets, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
