We've still yet to see a report of an "unsuccessful" season-ending surgery, but it's good to hear that all went well with Crash's procedure. His minutes will most likely be gobbled up by Jerryd Bayless, Chris Johnson, and the potentially soon-to-return Avery Bradley.

He didn't have a steal, block or 3-pointer, but still played pretty well despite the benching. He's averaging 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals over his last five games, but he may have trouble playing this well if he continues to come off the bench. Jerryd Bayless started in his place tonight and blew up for 29 points.

Gerald Wallace will come off the bench on Wednesday vs. the Hawks. The Celtics not having Jared Sullinger (concussion) or Kelly Olynyk (toe) means Wallace will have to play some power forward. His value goes up a little bit tonight against another team with some holes in their frontcourt.

Wallace got ejected after the game and made some funny comments about the refs so he might be looking at a fine. He's very hit or miss even when he starts and plays a boatload of minutes so owners should use him with extreme caution.

He filled the stat sheet tonight, but his lack of scoring and shaky hold on a starting job makes us leery of trusting him. He also hit the floor hard on several occasions tonight, and he could find himself injured if he keeps playing like Crash. But as long as he's starting, Wallace should at least be on the fantasy radar right now.

Wallace is worth a look in deep leagues if he gets spot-action like this but that's about it. He's been a mixed bag in this type of role so far this season.
