The Warriors officially waived Smailagic on Wednesday.

The Warriors plan to waive Smailagic before Friday, when his $1.78 million salary for 2021-22 becomes fully guaranteed, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Smailagic added one assist in one minute of action during Thursday's win over Cleveland.

Smailagic (coach's decision) didn't play Tuesday in the Warriors' 108-98 loss to the 76ers.

Smailagic will come off the bench Tuesday against the 76ers, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.

Smailagic was recalled from the G League by the Warriors on Thursday, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

Smailagic posted 17 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and three assists across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 108-96 playoff loss to G League Lakeland.

Smailagic posted 19 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and four rebounds across 17 minutes in Wednesday's 111-108 win over G League Canton.

Smailagic (knee) had surgery Monday in San Francisco to repair a right meniscal tear, Wes Goldberg of The San Jose Mercury News reports. He's scheduled to be re-evaluated in four weeks.
