An above-average scorer and passer, he was fairly well-rounded and versatile, with the skills to play the point and the size of a small forward. As a ball handler, he had superb court vision and some slick crossover moves. Quick, smart, clutch and a leader, he also rebounded the ball well. Consistency was always wanting in the NBA: he played like a superstar one night and disappeared the next. Lacked some muscle mass so he was not the most durable player, nor the greatest defender. Also lacked ideal length. He never quite lived up to his billing as a pro. | |
