Randolph signed a two-year contract with Real Madrid on Thursday, Sportando reports.
The Magic acquired Anthony Randolph and intend to waive him.
An offseason isn't an offseason without Anthony Randolph changing teams. The Magic also picked up two future second-round picks and cash considerations. He is unlikely to be a factor on any team this season.
Anthony Randolph will be sent to Chicago as a part of the Bulls and Nuggets' trade swapping Doug McDermott for a pair of mid-first round picks earlier in the evening.
Tom Thibodeau coaching up Ant-Rand smells like sitcom to us. And no, he still doesn't have any fantasy value.
Anthony Randolph started in place of Wilson Chandler (groin strain) on Sunday, but he finished with only two points and two rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
Randolph shot 1-of-5 from the field and turned the ball over twice, and Darrell Arthur's terrific play off the bench made it an easy choice for coach Brian Shaw to bench AntRand. His lousy numbers aren't a big surprise -- in four previous starts this season, Randolph had averaged just 4.3 points on 28.6 percent FGs and 40.0 percent FTs, with 3.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks.
Anthony Randolph will move back to the bench against the Kings on Sunday.
Randolph played well in the small forward spot while the Nuggets didnt have a point guard, but there was no way this was going to last. If you were counting on Ant-Rand in anything less than a ridiculously deep league, we hope you're enjoying your first season of fantasy basketball.
Anthony Randolph played 28 minutes during Thursday's start at small forward, scoring eight points, three boards, three assists and two steals on 3-of-11 from the field.
Coach Brian Shaw went with Randolph quite a bit and he might like this move. "I kind of tinker with things," Brian Shaw said about his starting lineup on the Nuggets broadcast before the game. "[Thursday's starting lineup] gives us size at the two, three, four and five." While the Nuggets looked much better and had tremendous success at getting good looks, it did come against the Bucks and their hapless offense. Randolph has been a a headache to own for much of his career and we'll probably need about five good games in a row from him before signing off on picking him up in most formats.
Anthony Randolph will start for the Nuggets.
He'll join Randy Foye, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson in the first unit. It's his third start of the season and first start since Wilson Chandler has returned to the lineup. Randolph is one of the most inconsistent player in the NBA during the internet era and is way too risky to own.
Anthony Randolph played 16 minutes against the Blazers on Thursday with 12 points, three boards, one assist, one block, one steal and two 3-pointers.
He busted out for a 19-point game on Sunday after he was basically out of the rotation. Most players would be an interesting pickup after a couple decent games, but not Randolph. He's on the Mt. Rushmore for most inconsistent fantasy players in the last decade and would probably need about a week of production before we can call him a pickup.
Anthony Randolph (ankle) returned from a four-game absence in grand style on Sunday, scoring a season-high 19 points with two 3-pointers and three rebounds in 22 minutes.
Randolph made 6-of-9 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs with one steal, rounding out a productive game that was doubly unexpected considering his ankle injury. His excellent play contributed to Kenneth Faried's season-low 13 minutes of action, but we'll need to see a few more solid games before recommending Randolph in any formats.
Anthony Randolph (ankle) went through most of Tuesday's today and is optimistic he'll be able to play on Wednesday.
Randolph recently shed his walking boot and had his ankle drained, and he feels better than he has all season. Kenneth Faried is playing well and Randolph hasn't logged more than seven minutes in a game since late December, so fantasy owners can safely ignore him.
