In Walker, the Celtics land their next franchise point guard (after underperforming with predecessor Kyrie Irving the last two seasons). Walker is two years older than Irving and a better leader. He is also a better pure outside shooter but lacks Irving's flair and innate ability to dribble-drive to the basket (who doesn't?). Boston also receives a second-rounder in this sign-and-trade deal with Charlotte.

It is always difficult for any NBA franchise to lose its best player, so the Hornets are no different. Charlotte will probably take a little step back in 2019-20 going from Walker to Rozier as the starting floor general. That said, the 25-year-old Rozier has a lot of talent in his own right. He has only made 30 starts in four NBA campaigns but figures to emerge as an important cog in the Hornets' offense. Rozier may bust out in '19-20.

The two point guards in this trade should both do well with their new teams. Walker will be surrounded by more talent in Boston, so he should be able to thrive. He is still clearly the No. 1 scoring option even after the trade. Rozier may emerge as Charlotte's top scorer, too. Draft both guards with confidence in 2019.
