This could work out well for Phoenix, as the Suns are desperate to upgrade the point guard position. While Johnson is not really a traditional floor general, he can handle the ball and is also a good (if streaky) outside shooter. Still only 26, Johnson has a chance to make an impact as an immediate starter in Phoenix. He will likely play alongside Devin Booker in the backcourt. Ellington was added here for salary purposes and may be waived by the Suns.

The Heat did well here to shed some salary by moving two players out for just Anderson (a 'stretch-4' forward who can also play center), who was not part of the Suns' rotation this season (and figures to languish on the bench in Miami, as well). The Heat still have salary-cap issues but they were lessened a bit by moving out Tyler Johnson and Ellington at this time. Do not be surprised to see Miami make another move before the NBA trade deadline.

Johnson may see a major spike in production (and, as a result, fantasy value), so he may be worth picking up immediately in most standard leagues. Anderson can continue to be ignored by fantasy leaguers as he is not expected to play much in Miami. As for Ellington, let's wait to see where he ends up before making any definitive proclamations.
