Garrett signed a contract Thursday with Toyota Alvark Tokyo of the Japanese National Basketball League, international basketball writer David Pick reports.

Raptors waive G Diante Garrett. His contract wasn't guaranteed next week and there was no way they'd keep him. Garrett was brought over in the Steve Novak trade to help clear out cap space. He's probably not going to be much of a factor in the NBA this season.

Greivis Vasquez is expected to be signed any day now and will back up newly-signed Kyle Lowry. As for Garrett, he'll try to catch on with a summer league team this month.

Diante Garrett had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Sixers on Saturday. He hadn't done much of anything over his previous four games and the fact this one came against the Sixers is no accident. Don't get too excited about tonight's line.

Diante Garrett scored a career-high 15 points against the Suns on Wednesday with two boards, two assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes. He got some revenge against his former team tonight and looked great down the stretch. Garrett has played in every game this month, entering tonight with February averages of 3.4 points, 1.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.2 triples in 15.5 minutes. There's really nothing to like about him from a fantasy angle even though Trey Burke is struggling.

Diante Garrett picked up 26 minutes of playing time with Trey Burke in foul trouble on Friday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Garrett has put up some low key numbers when he gets on the floor but nothing to write home about and he needs a Burke injury to matter in fantasy leagues.

Free agent Diante Garrett is with the Jazz on Wednesday but the team hasn't acknowledged his availability or announced his signing. Multiple sources reported on Tuesday that Garrett would be called up from the D-League after Jamaal Tinsley was waived, and his sudden appearance seems to verify as much. Why the Jazz aren't discussing his presence is anyone's guess, but assuming he makes the roster he should earn substantial PG minutes alongside John Lucas III, at least until Trey Burke (finger) makes his debut.

He has a real chance to earn minutes at PG -- Jamaal Tinsley was waived on Tuesday, John Lucas III hasn't distinguished himself, and Trey Burke (finger) won't be re-evaluated until Nov. 25. Just don't expect any miracles, as he shot 32.7 percent from the field in 19 games with Phoenix last season.

Point guard Diante Garrett has played well in limited preseason action and stands an outside chance of making the team due to Russell Westbrook's injury. Garrett could also just as easily be let go once final rosters are announced, but either way, he's not going to be worth owning in fantasy.

Diante Garrett said that he'll be with the Thunder for the upcoming training camp. The acquisition of Ish Smith -- and his guaranteed contract -- may have sealed Garrett's fate, but Eric Bledsoe and Archie Goodwin joining the team put his spot in jeopardy. It's a little surprising that he'll be going to join the Thunder, though. OKC has brought back 13 players while players like Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson aren't going to give up their minutes.
