In Bynum, the Celtics add a veteran guard capable of running the point. If Boston decides to keep Bynum around (and not waive him for roster space), he may see some action early on (since starting point-man Rondo is out recovering from hand surgery, and rookie Smart is not yet proven). This move may also take some pressure off Turner who might have to run the point regularly out of the gate. Anthony had a guaranteed deal, so this gives the Celtics more flexibility while saving them almost $1 million in salary.

The Pistons didn't have much use for Bynum anymore with the resurgent Augustin expected to back up starting point guard Jennings Assuming the Pistons keep Anthony around, the defense-first pivot provides some veteran leadership and hustle on a fairly young Pistons squad. It's unlikely Anthony will be a rotation guy on his new team but he's capable and experienced.

Neither Bynum nor Anthony has much fantasy value, but Augustin should get a small spike on the Pistons now that Bynum is in Beantown. Anthony wasn't expected to play much for Boston, so his departure changes little in terms of their projected rotation (and he similarly doesn't affect much fantasy-wise in Detroit).
