Had a great frame for a defensive end and was a very good athlete. Showed a good nose for the ball and picked up the run well. Could make plays in pursuit. Flashed dominant pass-rushing ability coming out of college. Lacked raw power and bulk. Lacked refinement and intensity as an edge rusher. Was an average tackler. A definite underachiever, he was an inconsistent performer in coverage. Injuries slowed his development in the NFL.
