An undrafted player out of the University of Texas-El Paso, he offers plenty of versatility in the secondary. While he has the height to handle an outside corner position, he is also quick enough to stay with slot receivers inside. As a result, he can make tackles regularly when lined up on the line of scrimmage (or be used on blitzes). That said, he is not a natural ball hawk or a supreme playmaker overall. He is mostly a complementary defensive back.
