The Atlanta Falcons acquired offensive guard Andy Levitre from the Tennessee Titans for a sixth-round draft pick in 2016 and a future conditional draft pick.
What does it give the Atlanta Falcons?
For the Falcons, this deal should help their somewhat shaky offensive line (especially on the interior). Since Levitre is more of a zone-blocking lineman, he should fit in well with Atlanta under offensive coodinator Kyle Shanahan.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans?
For the Titans, this deal was mostly about getting out from under Levitre's hefty contract. The veteran was a backup heading into 2016 with Tennessee, so GM Ruston Webster did well to land a pair of draft picks in return.
Fantasy Impact
The Falcons' running game hasn't been much of a factor so far in training camp and the preseason, so perhaps Levitre's arrival can provide a spark.
