Wow! The Texans failed to complete an earlier trade involving Tunsil and edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney with Miami because the latter refused to sign with the Dolphins. So, the Texans did the next-best thing: they traded Clowney to Seattle, then turned around and got Tunsil and Stills from Miami for three future high picks. Clearly, the future is now for Houston, who now have a great pass protector for QB Deshaun Watson's blind side. They also add a veteran wide receiver in Stills, who should complement DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Keke Coutee very nicely. Houston has added Tunsil, Stills, running back Carlos Hyde and linebackers Barkevious Mingo and Jacob Martin, while subtracting Clowney, on a very busy cutdown day.

Well, at least Miami's intentions going into the 2019 campaign are crystal clear now. By dealing arguably the team's best player in Tunsil, the Dolphins are sending a message to their fans, to the locker room and to the NFL world in general that they are playing for beyond this coming season. Miami has a very young coach in Brian Flores and a young, unproven roster. They are probably setting themselves up to draft their next franchise quarterback in 2020 (possibly University of Alabama rising star Tua Tagovailoa). As for the present, losing Tunsil is a crushing blow to the offensive line, while trading Stills weakens the receiver depth chart. It is not a good day for Dolphins fans, but hopefully the rebuild will not be lengthy.

Watson is the biggest winner here, as he might now be an unstoppable force if the line in front of him can actually protect him long enough for him to do his magic. Stills will probably see fewer snaps in Houston and become more of a role player and veteran leader. Therefore, his stock is on the decline after this trade.
