Bucs placed CB Michael Adams on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Adams had been dealing with knee issues since Week 1, where he underwent a clean-up procedure. The exact extent of his injury is unknown, though it's serious enough to cost him the final six games. Adams struggled in limited snaps this season, and is not under contract for 2014, which will be his age-29 campaign. Adams has made 80 career appearances, but only seven starts.
Bucs CB Michael Adams underwent knee surgery Wednesday.
Adams will miss multiple weeks, but is expected to avoid injured reserve. He should return as the Bucs' No. 4 corner and contribute on special teams.
Bucs signed CB Michael Adams and waived G Jeremy Lewis.
Adams spent six seasons with the Cardinals, starting seven of the 75 games he appeared in. He can help in the slot and act as a deep reserve while Darrelle Revis (ACL) eases his way back into action.
