| Brought tremendous ability to the quarterback position: had ice in his veins and kept his team in the game to the final whistle. Had great field vision in the pocket and could zip throws all over the field. An outspoken leader with great intensity and competitiveness, he was also amazingly durable. Occasionally let his intensity boil over, and sometimes he tried to do too much himself (leading to plenty of interceptions and sacks). Was never much of a scrambler and rarely made plays with his feet. Rightly or wrongly, he garnered a reputation as someone who could not win the "big one", but he posted outstanding numbers. | |
