There was no questioning his pedigree or soft hands (as the son of celebrated NFL wide receiver and Hall of Fame inductee Randy Moss), but that is where the similarities ended. Had a much thicker frame than his father with the mass to excel as a run blocker and bully defenders on pass routes. Was tenacious and physical in every phase. However, average quickness and separation skills limited his route tree to red zone and short-yardage targets. Could win position battles but did not outrun most defensive backs at the NFL level.
