An accomplished utility back with oomph, he can wade into the defense as a ball carrier, short-yardage receiver and goal line penetrator. Comes from a football family (he is related to NFLers Samaje Perine and Myles Jack, plus his father played at Auburn University). Straightline speed and leg drive are at the core of his game; he is diligent in following blockers and can power through contact. Runs with balance and a low center of gravity. Lacks change-of-pace ability and the open-field wiggle to extend runs. Is best tethered to a true lead back or a committee role.
