Thompkins (undisclosed) was waived off Green Bay's injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.

Thompkins signed a contract with the Packers on Wednesday.

The Steelers waived Thompkins on Saturday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
