The Dolphins have decided to release White, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

White completed five of six pass attempts for 74 yards, one touchdown and one interception across six regular-season appearances in 2023. He also rushed eight times for a loss of nine yards.

White completed his lone pass attempt for three yards while playing the final 13 snaps of the Dolphins' 45-15 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

White completed both of his pass attempts for 67 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 70-20 win over Denver. He also lost one yard on his lone carry.

White will be the Dolphins' backup quarterback to start the season, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
