"I'm going into Year 9, I've had a lot of experience," the quarterback said Thursday afternoon. "I think all of that carries into my confidence to say I could play a game right now. Part of me wishes that (practice) was a game... I'm ready to play and get after it."

Prescott (foot), who has been spotted without a protective boot on his right foot Tuesday while his youth football camp, said there is "absolutely nothing" wrong with his ankle, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Prescott was spotted Thursday wearing a protective boot on his right foot due to a sprain, but the injury isn't considered serious, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The Cowboys haven't offered Prescott a contract extension, with player and team having a "mutual understanding" of the situation as he enters a contract season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Prescott restructured his contract over the weekend, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Prescott completed 25 of 38 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 33-10 win over the Panthers.
