Thrived as a "committee" back with dual-threat skills as a decent inside runner and often prolific receiver out of the backfield (or the slot). Only 5'9", he was a savvy, elusive route runner who assisted his quarterback by finding open space and coming back to the football. Excelled at exploiting the underbelly of the defense. Attacked the line on handoffs and could drag tacklers for extra yards. Was a bit light and lean for regular running back duty, and lacked explosiveness in the open field. Was a bit too stats-dependent but was at his best in a pass-first offense.
