Was an established role player and proven run stopper on the interior. Found his niche as a pro, and rose from undrafted status to become a fixture of the interior line as a situational player used on rushing downs and in short-yardage packages. Brought the mass and strength required for the job; he held his ground, and controlled and clogged the inside gaps. Was also a vocal and respected team leader. Could pressure the pocket and produce an occasional sack, but was seldom deployed on passing downs.
