An elusive ball carrier, he was very patient with explosive moves and a lot of wiggle in his game. Absorbed contact well and kept his feet moving. Was an excellent receiver out of the backfield. Also, he was capable of creating yards on his own. Had the vision, quickness and anticipation to be an excellent return man. Lacked ideal NFL tailback size, which limited him as a power runner up the middle and as a rusher in general. Was not a bruiser who pushed defenders back at the goal line. Possessed only average pure speed in the open field. Was terrific at picking up blitzes, which is crucial for any third-down running back. Was quite durable over the course of his NFL career. | |
Long Range Potential: | Elusive, durable pass-catching running back. |
