Excellent at stuffing the run, he used his massive hands, good reach and excellent strength to bull-rush his way to the quarterback. Was fairly polished and well rounded at either defensive tackle or defensive end; he used his big frame well and showed very good anticipation. Worked hard to simply make plays. Was not a very fluid or explosive player, and sometimes appeared to lumber in space.
