Huge and athletic, he was a former basketball player with enough mobility to make plays on the run. Used his stature to his advantage: he had an above-average arm and great field vision. Could really zip the ball in heavy traffic. Showed some poise in the pocket, but not all the time. Lacked consistency in all aspects of playing quarterback at the National Football League level. Lacked patience, touch and the ability to utilize all of his downfield options; sometimes he forced the ball into bad areas.
