Poised in the pocket and supremely accurate, he made tough passes look easy with a fluid throwing motion and calm demeanor under pressure. Could make big plays and made very few mistakes. Showed excellent field vision and was superb reading defenses and going through progressions. Lacked ideal height and was not very fast. Injuries derailed his career early on, but he bounced back and wound up being a reliable backup quarterback in the NFL.
