Free agent WR C.J. Akins will visit the Panthers on Friday. The Panthers are digging deep in their search for receiver help. A 2013 undrafted free agent, Akins signed with the Rams, but missed his entire rookie year with a torn Achilles' tendon. Standing in at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, Akins attended small-school Angelo State. He posted a 49/781/7 line as a senior.
