A high-energy, volume tackler during his heyday, he often fell victim to injuries in the NFL. At his best, he never left the field and got involved in every play. A rangy defender, he reacted instantly and flowed to the action...often making the stop or wrangling an assist. His best work came in space when he was moving freely toward the football. A tad undersized for a linebacker, he could be overwhelmed physically. Furthermore, injuries ended his NFL career abruptly.
