A solid, consistent ball-striker, he has power that belies his smallish frame. Has a compact, economical stroke with no wasted movement. Is almost automatic on field goals inside 40 yards; he is extremely accurate and confident under pressure, with proven playoff success. His percentage dwindles sharply on longer kicks; he has the leg to hit from beyond 50 yards but sacrifices accuracy. Lacks carry and is often short on kickoffs, producing too many returns. Injury woes (especially to his groin) have been costly in his NFL career.
