Browns signed WR Anthony Armstrong, formerly of the Redskins.
Armstrong, 31, is a slightly built (5'11/180) speedster with ties to new Browns OC Kyle Shanahan from D.C. The Browns will be in trouble if at any point they're forced to lean on Armstrong for significant regular season snaps.

Armstrong, 31, began his career with the Redskins and caught 51 passes for 974 yards and five touchdowns over 29 games from 2010-11. He was out of the league last season after playing for the Dolphins, Jaguars, and Cowboys in 2012.
Lions worked out free agent WRs Anthony Armstrong, Charles Hawkins and Lavelle Hawkins Tuesday.
None of the trio were immediately signed, suggesting that the Lions are comfortable going to battle with Calvin Johnson, Patrick Edwards (ankle) and Ryan Broyles (knees) Sunday. Even if one of these three does get signed, they'd be playing an outside role for Detroit. They wouldn't affect slot man Ryan Broyles' potential production.
Cowboys released WR Anthony Armstrong.
It's the second time in five months the Cowboys have cut Armstrong loose. Now on the wrong side of 30, Armstrong's future is dim.
Cowboys re-signed WR Anthony Armstrong.
The Cowboys dumped Armstrong last week in a salary cap move, but quickly get him back in the fold following a Tuesday visit with the Giants. He has a decent chance to crack the roster as a situational deep threat. Although Armstrong had just three catches in five games for the Dolphins last year, he posted a 44/871/3 line with the Redskins as a rookie in 2010.

Jerry Jones and company needed to free up a roster spot after signing DBs Michael Huff and Will Allen. The move also clears $630,000 in cap space. Cowboys signed WRs Anthony Armstrong, Jared Green, and Carlton Mitchell, TE Colin Cochart, OG Ray Dominguez, LS Charley Hughlett, OLB Cameron Sheffield, and OT Aderious Simmons to reserve/future contracts.
Dallas has been the NFL's most aggressive team when it comes to future signings so far. Armstrong has experience in the league with Miami and Washington. Sheffield is a former Chiefs draft pick. Dominguez has spent time in Green Bay.
