Avery posted just a 40/596/2 line in his first year in Kansas City and is owed $1.65 million in 2014. Donnie Avery (concussion) 'improving'
Reid Ferrin on Twitter
News
Per KCChiefs.com, Donnie Avery (concussion) is "improving, and completing concussion protocol testing."
Forecaster Impact
It's the third-known concussion of Avery's pro career, but it sounds like he would have been able to suit up had the Chiefs advanced to the Divisional Round. Signed to a three-year, $8.55 million deal last March, Avery caught 40 passes for 596 yards and two touchdowns his first year in Kansas City. Avery has a long and winding injury history, but has now appeared in all 16 games in back-to-back seasons. Signed for an affordable $1.65 million in 2014, Avery will remain a WR5 for fantasy purposes.
