The retirement this week of former Pro Bowl left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson forced this move by the Jets. In Ferguson they lose the anchor of their offensive line (and in many ways their entire offense), so replacing him with another former Pro Bowler--Clady--is a no-brainer. Like Ferguson, Clady probably has his best NFL days behind him, and Clady is notably far less durable than Ferguson was. That said, if Clady stays healthy the Jets won't need to adjust too much on-field to Ferguson's departure.

This off-season the Broncos signed star offensive tackle Russell Okung, so the writing was on the wall for the departure of the expensive Clady. Moving him here saves Denver over $9 million, and they additionally get a draft pick upgrade. All that said, the Broncos still have major issues at quarterback (although the freed-up money should help them with that).

Offensive tackles don't carry any value in most fantasy leagues, but whomever winds up playing quarterback for the Jets will probably hold the same value with Clady around as he did with Ferguson. Since Okung replaces Clady in Denver's lineup, there's little to no fantasy impact on the Broncos, either.
