The Kansas City Chiefs acquired defensive end/linebacker Melvin Ingram from the Pittsburgh Steelers for a conditional 2022 sixth-round pick.
What does it give the Kansas City Chiefs?
The Chiefs are struggling defensively this season, so the hope here is that Ingram can help provide more of a pass rush from the edge. He played 3-4 OLB in Pittsburgh but should play defensive end in KC.
What does it give the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Ingram was somewhat disgruntled with his lack of playing time with the Steelers this season, so it made sense for the team to move on here. They received an extra late-round pick in the upcoming draft.
