The San Francisco 49ers acquired defensive end/linebacker Jordan Willis and a seventh-round draft pick in 2021 from the New York Jets for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2022.
What does it give the San Francisco 49ers?
The 49ers have had massive injury woes along their defensive line this season, so the arrival of Willis adds some needed depth. He played sparingly in New York but might become a rotational end for San Francisco.
What does it give the New York Jets?
The Jets continue to make small deals for draft pick upgrades as they look to completely revamp the roster for next season (and beyond). Willis was little used and played out of position as a 3-4 outside linebacker in New York.
